- Image Processing

BD IPLab includes a full suite of image processing features and tools such as brightness and contrast control, pseudocolor, color balance, background correction and digital filters. With BD IPLab, you can easily combine multiple image sequences and readily blend grayscale (e.g. DIC) images with fluorescence image sequences. BD IPLab also gives you the ability to process and visualize both time series and 3D images.

Using spatially calibrated images with the automated measurement tools, dozens of image processing tasks can be performed on bright field or fluorescence images quickly and easily.
BD IPLab can analyze the image by automatically separating objects of interest from the background. A wide range of analysis features for measuring regions of interests or areas, counting cells, measuring intensities, performing distribution analysis and counting objects within objects are included. Multiple images may also be batch-processed to quickly analyze large image data sets.
The resulting data can be saved in BD IPLab, or opened in a spreadsheet program such as Microsoft® Excel® for further analysis. User-definable plots and histograms are also included to present the data as desired.
